Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that The Aylmer-Malahide Museum & Archives is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (Ah-nish-in-a-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Mississauga (Miss-iss-sah-ga), and Attawandaron (Add-a-won-da-run) peoples, on lands covered by Treaty 3 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit.  Malahide also sits on lands covered in Treaty 2 signed with the Odawa, Wyandot, Chippewa, and Potawatomi nations. Aylmer and Malahide are currently home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
