Join us to learn more about shoes, shoemaking, and the shoemakers of Aylmer and Malahide. This exhibit features the history of over 90 local shoemakers, shoe stores, and stores with shoe departments. Visit us to learn more!
A large portion of our operating funds come from various fundraisers held throughout the year.
The Museum's first fundraiser of the year. Held annually the last Friday of February. The Heritage Luncheon offers a generous serving of Heritage Beef Stew, loaded with meat and vegetables, fresh roll, dessert and drink for $15 per person. Vegetarian stew is also available.
The Aylmer-Malahide Museum Volunteers' Annual Christmas Tour of Homes was developed to benefit the operation of the museum and to raise awareness of local businesses. Four unique, interesting, and/or historical homes are chosen in the Aylmer Area. These homes are decorated for Christmas and then opened for participants to tour.

The Museum's second fundraiser of the year. Held annually in June. The Spring Luncheon offers a nice variety of salads, served with dessert and beverages for only $15 per person.
Each summer, the museum holds a yard sale as part of the Talbot Trail of Yard Sales put on by Elgin County.
