Huge Thanks to the White Family Fund within the Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation

October 29, 2026

The museum is thrilled to announce that we’ve received a generous grant of $3,500 from the White Family Fund within Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation! We are so incredibly grateful for their support in our goals of preserving and presenting our community’s history.

This funding will make a huge difference in our ability to process artifact donations throughout the winter! We receive dozens of donations throughout the operating year, some of which contain hundreds of artifacts. With thanks in part to the funding granted to us through the White Family Fund, Collections Manager Sarah and Curatorial Assistant Marie will continue to list and document artifacts for consideration by our Acquisition Committee throughout our seasonal closure.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the White Family Fund within the Elgin St. Thomas Community Foundation. We’re looking forward to a productive winter!
