A Warm Welcome to Our Summer Students!

June 20, 2024

We were very excited and fortunate to be able to hire summer students to help us keep everything running smoothly. Young Canada Works and Canada Summer Jobs are huge supporters of this endeavour. Many thanks to Julia McCord and Morgan Kerr for joining the team!

Julia McCord

Julia McCord is a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, having earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She will be attending Western University in the fall for her Master’s of Library and Information Science. Julia’s expertise will be a huge help in organizing and describing our archives!

Morgan Kerr

Morgan Kerr has finished her first year at Western University for English Literature and is headed into a second year of the same major with a minor in History. Morgan is looking forward to continuing the digitization of the museum’s general artifact collection and textile collection. We’re very excited to have Morgan back for her second summer in a row!

The Aylmer-Malahide Museum & Archives’ database will be available through this portal, along with the Backus-Page House Museum, Edison Museum of Vienna, Elgin County Railway Museum, Forge and Anvil Museum, Gay Lea Dairy Museum, North America Railway Hall of Fame, Port Burwell Marine Museum, and the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre.
